Serix is a Commander, a battlefront card that can attack, defend, and attempt to dodge when eligible. Commanders bring distinctive abilities to your strategy—but the name after the dash carries an important restriction.

Every secret has a price.

Surrounded by intricate holograms and violet light, Serix looks every bit the cipher adept: precise, composed, and impossible to read. His presence suggests a mind already working several moves ahead.

The Nixians thrive on secrets, misdirection, and uncertain loyalties. They are playing both sides of the conflict, turning information into influence while keeping their own intentions concealed. Whose side are they really on?

What We Have So Far

The name, Commander identity, and Nixian frame are in place. Now for the part that defines how Serix changes the game.

The ability

If a player would deplete one or more cards, they deplete twice that many cards instead.

Twice the depletion.

While Serix is on the battlefront, an effect that would make a player deplete cards makes them deplete twice that many instead. To deplete, a player places the specified number of cards from the top of their fleet into their scrapyard. These cards are not destroyed by being depleted.

Serix amplifies depletion; he does not deplete cards by himself. And his ability says “a player,” so it applies to every player—including you. That makes him a powerful piece of a depletion strategy, with timing and careful fleet building to match.
